MEO Moloka‘i modified its monthly food surplus distribution on Thursday, May 16, due to the inclement weather. Concerned about a downpour, the Moloka‘i staff switched from the usual outdoor drive thru to a pickup in the patio area of MEO’s Kaunakakai office. Volunteers helped move the food, and the distribution to 140 households went smoothly. MEO Moloka‘i, Lana‘i and Hana distribute food from the Maui Food Bank once a month.
