After School Program

MEO Youth Services hosts youth to participate in enriching Service-Learning Activities twice a week from 2 to 6pm! Our After-School Program offers a variety of exciting activities, including community service, fitness, art, civic engagement, sustainability, cultural connection, and essential life skills.

  • Intended Audience: Middle and High Schoolers (Grades 6 through 12)
  • When: Twice weekly from 2 to 6pm on weekdays (with occasional weekend events). Programs are offered year round!
  • Cost: No Charge to you or your family
  • Location: Most Service-Learning Activities occur at MEO’s Wailuku Classroom: 99 Mahalani Street, Wailuku, HI 96793
  • Transportation is provided to and from each activity, should activities be located somewhere other than MEO.

 

School Break Program:

MEO Youth Services provides enriching activities during Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring breaks! Keep your child active, learning, and having fun throughout the year when they are not in school!

  • Intended Audience: Middle and High Schoolers (Grades 6 through 12)
  • When: Four days weekly (Mon-Thurs) from 8am to 4pm on weekdays (with occasional night and weekend events).
  • Cost: No Charge to you or your family
  • Location: Youth will be able to explore different venues throughout Maui, including visiting local businesses, gardens, and community centers. Drop-off and pick up occurs at MEO’s Wailuku building: 99 Mahalani Street, Wailuku, HI 96793
  • Transportation is provided to and from each activity, should activities be located somewhere other than MEO.

M.A.U.I. Kanaktion Task Force

This nurturing program develops youth into community leaders and advocates, empowering them to Make An Unforgettable Impact (M.A.U.I).

Task Force members meet once per month from 5 to 7pm, participating in leadership and mentorship training and collaborating on creating local prevention campaigns focused on alcohol, tobacco, suicide, and bullying prevention. Members will get to engage in youth advocacy and peer-to-peer outreach, collaborating with partners like the Tobacco-Free Hawaii Coalition, Children’s Justice Center, and Maui Police Department.

  • Intended Audience: Task Force members are primarily High Schoolers (Grades 9 through 12). However, youth in grades 7 and 8 can inquire about being a junior leader
  • When: Once monthly from 4pm to 7pm
  • Cost: No Charge to you or your family
  • Location: Most meeting are located at MEO’s Wailuku Classroom: 99 Mahalani Street, Wailuku, HI 96793
  • Transportation is provided to and from each activity, should activities be located somewhere other than MEO.
