Margaret Cambra was installed as president of the Maui County Planning &
Coordinating Council (P&CC), an umbrella organization of kupuna clubs
countywide, at the council’s holiday gathering earlier this month.

Maui County Planning & Coordinating Council President Margaret Cambra was
installed as president of the organization by Maui Economic Opportunity CEO
Debbie Cabebe on Dec. 10 at MEO in Wailuku.

Cambra was elected for a two-year term. Other officers are Janice Kekahuna,
vice president; Sylvia Valdez, Secretary; and Zeny Barut, Treasurer.

The gathering was held Dec. 10 at Maui Economic Opportunity in Wailuku. MEO
assists the P&CC and senior clubs with recruitment, advocacy, education and
social activities. The goal of the county-funded program is to enhance the
quality of life for Maui County kupuna through education, companionship and
better health.
