Flordelina “Flor” Andrion and Lorna Tagorda took a Goodbye Tour of the kupuna clubs in their final visits this month as MEO Maui County Planning; Coordinating Council specialists. Their last day before retirement was Thursday. MEO sent off the beloved duo with a Luncheon in the upstairs Administration Conference Room.
Flor and Lorna are the epitome of MEO and what we do. They started as clients in Carmelei Leano’s Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), which provides part-time employment for low income seniors 55 years and older with a goal of transitioning them to regular paying jobs in the community.
After completing their time in SCSEP, Flor joined the MEO staff nearly 11 years ago, and Lorna, more than 3 years ago. Dedicated to their fellow kupuna, their work and the mission of MEO, Flor and Lorna were respected by the clubs they supported and MEO staff. They will be missed.
Happy Retirement.
There is a rumor that there may be an MEO Retirees senior club in the offing!
