Purchasing specialist Mae Koyanagi rode off into retirement Friday ending her 29 years at MEO. A luncheon was held in her honor with some of her favorites – ginger chicken and tiramisu. The menu was befitting Mae: Half main dish and half dessert.
Mae has been a fixture, handling purchasing and travel and being the expert on all things, like the copy machine, where cups and paperclips are and the best places to purchase lunch. She was always about doing the best job possible, finding the best deal, making the job easier for frontline staff and ensuring that travelers got to their destinations.
Mae received a fitting send off. She commented that she received more lei Friday than at graduation!
We will miss Mae while wishing her the best in retirement.
