Debbie Cabebe represented MEO at the National Community Action Washington Conference, March 12 to 15, in the nation’s capital. It was an opportunity for Community Action Agencies from across the nation to visit with U.S. House and Senate members. A highlight of the annual conference is “Hill Visits” with lawmakers to brief them on the status of people in need and efforts to support them. Debbie, along with representatives from the Honolulu Community Action Partnership, Hawaii County Economic Community Council and Keapo Bissen with Skog Rasmussen, visited with U.S. Reps. Ed Case and Jill Tokuda and U.S. Sens. Mazie Hirono and Brian Schatz.
