A Budgeting 101 workshop in American Sign Language will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, April 8, at Maui Economic Opportunity in Wailuku.
Olivia Malcolm, who is deaf and a native ASL signer, will be leading and signing for the workshop, offered through MEO’s Maui Independent Living Center. The Oahu resident has been an ASL specialist at the Hawaii School for the Deaf and Blind for seven years.
The workshop will cover setting financial goals, creating a budget and sticking to it, general good money management, including being debt-free and saving.
