Thank you to Jim Mendoza of Hawaii News Now for reporting on the winner of a $25,000 grant in a Maui Economic Opportunity Business Development Center business planning contest. Landa Ampong was interviewed for the story on God’s Lanes, LLC, a startup e-commerce retail company offering faith-based athleisure apparel to Christian men and women. Thirty entrepreneurs, who completed BDC’s Core Four Business Planning class series, entered the contest for grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000, which was funded by Council Member Tasha Kama’s district funds. Ampong’s business plan was deemed the best. BDC Director David Daly was interviewed by Mendoza for the story on Ampong’s selection for the top prize.
