Discount fare coupon booklets for Maui Bus paratransit riders have been renewed for the next fiscal year with the approval of the Maui County budget, and current booklets will still be accepted.
The booklets of 12 coupons cost $20; a savings of $4 for 12 rides with a regular fare of $2. A coupon is required for each leg of the trip.
The coupon booklet program was initiated at the beginning of the current fiscal year, which began July 1, 2021. The budget for the 2022-23 fiscal year, which passed the County Council and was signed by the mayor, renewed the program.
Coupons are available from paratransit drivers and the Wailuku office of Maui Economic Opportunity, 99 Mahalani St., Wailuku. MEO operates the Maui Bus Americans with Disabilities paratransit system.
