About 40 members of kupuna clubs islandwide attended the Maui Planning & Coordinating Council Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day Luncheon at Maui Economic Opportunity in Wailuku on Wednesday, June 8.
Before lunch, club presidents and their leaders learned about Robert’s Rules of Order and gave updates on their activities, which included holding Bingo night, playing Wii bowling and ping pong and honoring 80 year olds and college scholarship recipients.
The P & CC assists senior clubs with recruitment and membership enrollment, advocacy, education and social activities and events. The objective of this Maui County-funded program is to enhance the quality of life for seniors by helping them obtain the benefits of knowledge, companionship, and better health.
