Lots of personal employee information passes through the desk of Maui Economic Opportunity Employee of the Month Kristen Sato – and all of it stays under wraps and confidential.

“I know all ‘confidential’ information given to her will stay ‘confidential,’ a quality that’s very important, especially in her department,” said Mae Koyanagi, who nominated Kristen for the honor.

Kristen is a Human Resources Administrative Specialist and has been with MEO since March 2018.

“Her personality is sparkling and you feel like you have known her forever,” Mae said. “She is very easy to talk to and never shows any annoyance with me ever, especially when I ask for impossible favors.”

Kristen is a talented crafter, an expert of everything Hallmark, and possesses writing so beautiful a font should be named after her, said Mae.

For being named Employee of the Month for February, Kristen earned a $150 check and an extra vacation day. She was honored at MEO’s General Staff meeting March 30. Mae received $50 as the nominator.

Kristen Sato, Human Resources Administrative Specialist, was named Maui Economic Opportunity’s Employee of the Month.
