Thank you KITV for doing a story on our Kāohi program for intermediate and high school youths on Moloka‘i. The program, which will begin soon, will offer in-school and after-school evidence-based curriculum and activities to prevent alcohol and substance abuse, bullying and suicide. There will be community service, leadership, cultural, family-building, informational and other activities for intermediate and high school youths. Kāohi is similar to programs currently offered on Maui through MEO Youth Services. The Nuestro Futuro Foundation provided $100,000 to fund Kāohi.

CEO Debbie Cabebe did a great job of explaining the program in an interview with Tom George on Sunday (Feb. 20) morning at 7 a.m.

For information about Kāohi, call MEO Youth Services at (808) 243-4309.
